Redwood Empire

Whiskey Bar + Distillery

When Redwood Empire expanded beyond the bottle into a new distillery, restaurant, whiskey bar, and event space, my role was to extend—not reinvent—the brand originally crafted by Stranger & Stranger. We began with a clear brand strategy that bridged the storytelling already embedded in the whiskey labels with the broader experience of place. From that foundation, I developed a cohesive system of interior and exterior signage that carried the brand’s spirit into the physical environment with purpose and continuity.

My role was to help translate this vision into a visual and sensory identity. The creative direction was inspired by the idea of tea as a portal — mysterious and otherworldly, almost from an alternate time. The brand language draws on elemental forms and mythological motifs, conveying something ineffable yet deeply human. Across logo, packaging, marketing, and retail display, the identity invites people to step into a dreamlike space where tea, myth, and story converge.
