Combining thrift store paintings, inherited discarded fragments, and forgotten artifacts, ReFettle transforms what was cast off into new composites. Each piece builds over layers of irrelevance and neglect — old currency, WWII rations, photographs, instruction booklets, old stamps — with anew placement to evoke renewal as both material and metaphor.

In ReFettle, the forgotten become remembered: the new organization and designs and juxtapositions are not hidden but made visible. This is an art of repair, of reclamation — turning past junk into a new place in the present.
